Declaration of Intent to become the federation of Ibadan student union president


To the esteemed members of the Federation of Ibadan Students Union National Body,


I, Oladipupo Ayomiku (Coded Blinks), A student of federal cooperative college from the department of computer science stand before you today as a seasoned student leader, driven by a passion for excellence, unity, and progress. With a proven track record of leadership in various capacities, including Department of Computer Science President, Mr. FIBSU, Acting President, and Vice President II of FIBSU, I am confident in my ability to lead our great union to new heights.


My vision for FIBSU is built on the principles of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability. As your President, I pledge to:


- Foster a sense of unity and belonging among all members, bridging gaps and promoting a culture of togetherness

- Enhance student welfare by advocating for their rights, addressing grievances, and providing support services

- Promote academic excellence by providing resources, workshops, and opportunities for intellectual growth and development

- Strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, including student organizations, faculty, and external partners, to amplify our voices and advance our interests

- Ensure prudent management of resources, prioritizing transparency, accountability, and the benefit of all members


Furthermore, I commit to:


- Listening to and addressing the concerns of all members, ensuring every voice is heard

- Building a strong, effective, and efficient leadership team

- Fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students

- Collaborating with relevant authorities to improve infrastructure, facilities, and services for students

- Promoting student engagement, participation, and empowerment in decision-making processes


With my experience, dedication, and commitment to the ideals of our union, I ask for your mandate to lead FIBSU as President. Together, let's build a brighter future for our members, our institution, and our nation. Let's harness our collective potential, creativity, and energy to drive positive change and achieve greatness.

DISCLAIMER ON THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL NULLIFICATION OF THE ELECTORAL COMMITTEE

The attention of the National Parliament and the entire FIBSU community has been drawn to a press release issued by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Umar Faruq, seeking to nullify the Electoral Committee duly constituted and inaugurated by the National Congress on April 5th, 2025, at Ibadan House. We wish to categorically state that the Congress which held on the said date was validly convened and had in attendance over 75 Congressmen and Congresswomen, including 24 Chapter Presidents, Principal Officers of the National Parliament, National Executives, the FIBSU Alumni secretary and a past National President representing the stakeholders.
